I love the innocent and fragile look of Leo in this picture. Lighting is by an apple laptop computer at his knees as I snapped a quick shot and desaturated/isolated the colours except for blue in Photoshop. My girlfriend Colette had just given him a jacket she brought from England as a xmas present. I think he was more interested in the game he was playing on the computer.February 8, 2008
Funny shot of my girlfriend Colette just after she scored her Ralph Lauren glasses. She was a little embarrased in the sushi restaurant as I kept telling her to let me take one more shot since she looked so sexy! Great sushi by the way at Sushi Rock at Yonge and Eglinton. One of our favourite places.February 10, 2008
Colette and I decided to get away for a couple of days in Huntsville for some creatives. We just happened to pick one of the worst days in the winter to go with snow storms, whiteouts, extremely cold weather warnings etc smacking us right in the ass! We made the best of it and actually had a great time with some really good keepers. This shot was just off the highway where there were stories high of icicles. There was easily two feet of fresh snow and we took about 15 minutes to trudge through from the highway to the edge of these icicles (width of one lane). 18 wheeler trucks were sounding their horns driving by as our car was at the edge of the right lane of the highway. Extremely dangerous!!!!!!! Things we have to do to get the shot...March 21, 2008
I've seen this old boat just off of the 401 Eastbound just east of St Catherines many of times. Coming back from Niagara with a day of creatives I decided to get a shot since I had my wide angle lens with me. Managed to get close enough without falling into the water or snapping my ankles on the rocks for this shot.March 29, 2008
Lets just say this picture doesn't explain at all what had just happened. Long story short, Colette and I were on our way to California for a few weeks but had to get on the plane first. Problems include Visa, citizenship, marital status, address, passport, paranoia, tiredness, anger, etc.
Well guess what, no problems at all and this was just before we boarded the plane.

The Getty Museum was as good as what people said. Truly a dream for photo ops and a great place to see some art in all forms. Colette and I spent the whole day and burned up CF cards like it was the last day of our lives shooting. The weather was also absolutely beautiful.
What a day!!!April 3, 2008
Walking around Hollywood in the early part of the evening and documented all sorts of characters. This sax player was really good and I was able to get a decent angle (cost me a buck). Was using my 50mm so had to make do with the composition but I think it turned out pretty well.
Definitely a keeper.April 4, 2008
Colette and I made a few stops on the beautiful HWY1 coastal drive from LA to SF. Hearst Castle in San Simeon has to be one of the most amazing places to not only see but photograph. The weather was absolutely beautiful. We kept on leaving our tour group only to get scolded to follow closely and not to touch anyting.April 6, 2008
Alcatraz.
Out of all the places in our whole California trip, Alcatraz probably has the most JPGs in my computer. Fantastic photo ops and definitely scored many keepers. This picture reminds me of the Clint Eastwood movie Escape from Alcatraz and the famous yard scenes from that movie.May 17, 2008
Second time was a great day of creatives at the Brick Works in Toronto. Was prepared for this shoot with boots, coveralls, gloves, masks, etc. Many photographers have been through this place and all seem to agree there is beauty in the ruins. I definitely agree! Better get there soon as it is rumoured to be developed into a luxury hotel.August 17, 2008
Part of my upcoming portfolio called Street Scenes, this capture was on Queen Street East. I was actually waiting for a street car but this little girl came into frame and looked at me with such bewilderment I just had to snap a picture. I didn't have time to put the camera to my eye and focus on the little girl but it turned out pretty good regardless.September 7, 2008
Seems like I mention my better half a lot in these captions but she truly helps me to become a better photographer. Not only her encouragement, but her drive to succeed in photography as well motivates me even more. She also makes for a great subject!!! Here she is on our White on White shoot.
